ABOUT EPIC HISTORY TV:
I launched Epic History TV in 2015 to offer a new kind of history documentary, aimed at today's online audience – short, dramatic, and full of facts, for fellow history nerds, students and casual viewers alike.
History has been my lifelong passion. I was raised on Greek myths and Arthurian legends, and spent my childhood clambering over ruined castles in northern England. Later I went to the University of Edinburgh, got an M.A. in History, then worked at the History Channel for many years, where I was lucky enough to write and produce several documentaries including Blood & Bullets: The Story of Military Medicine, Cutty Sark: Out of the Ashes, Soviet Storm: WW2 in the East, Lifeboat Heroes and Auschwitz: Journey into Hell.
I research, write and animate all Epic History TV videos myself. They're great fun to make, but do cost money and take a lot of time. Epic History TV can only survive and prosper with the help of fellow history enthusiasts like YOU! So if you like the videos and want to see more of them, please consider supporting Epic History TV on Patreon, following us on Twitter, and subscribing to the Youtube channel.
